Type and the Brain

Walter Lowen, engineer, mathematician, and author of the book, Dichotomies of the Mind, constructs a visual model of the mind that illustrates the logical connections between the type theory and current knowledge of the brain, and comes up with 16 profiles based on this theory.

"The basic difference between the right and left hemispheres of the brain is that the right hemisphere can broadly process many things simultaneously, while the left hemisphere can deeply focus on one thing at a time. It seems obvious to Lowen that the right and left hemispheres correspond to the Perceiving/Judging dichotomy on the MBTI."
